Speiser, Krause, Nolan & Granito is proud to announce that father and son Frank H. Granito, Jr. and Frank H. Granito, III were named Trial Lawyers of the Year by the Public Justice Foundation at the American Association for Justice annual meeting in San Francisco on July 28, 2009. The award is given to the attorney or attorneys who made the greatest contribution to the public interest within the past year with their litigation efforts in precedent setting or socially significant cases. The Granitos were named Trial Lawyers of the Year for bringing Libya to justice for its involvement in the bombing that brought down Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbee, Scotland in 1988, forcing Libya to pay $2.7 billion for its role in the bombing.
