Business Law Practice

In addition to our traditional practice of aviation, product liability and personal injury litigation, Speiser Krause has an active full service business law practice. Members of our firm have extensive experience in real estate, oil and gas transactions, general corporate and partnership matters, financial and estate planning. Of course, consistent with the firm's historical complex litigation experience, we are also engaged in business litigation emphasizing business tort and contract claims, including tortious interference with business relations, business defamation and disparagement and other emerging areas of business litigation.

Our lawyers have represented individuals and business entities in contract negotiations, corporate formation and reorganizations, international business transactions, trust and estate matters, partnership matters, consulting and employment relationships, real estate transactions and a variety of other commercial and corporate matters. We have also represented clients in bankruptcy proceedings and before administrative agencies, both state and federal.

Our philosophy is to provide clients with efficient and professional service from experienced counsel. We listen closely to our clients to understand their legal needs, and employ cost-conscious strategies which best meet those needs. In this regard, we pride ourselves on working effectively with other professionals, including accountants, financial advisors, and other legal counsel.

It has been our firm's policy to charge for services based upon results, not to set fees based solely on billable hours or the number of attorneys and staff working on behalf of a client. Our terms of representation are flexible and determined only after we have discussed in detail with the client the goals and risks associated with each matter and the amount of the attorney's and client's time, personnel and money needed to achieve the objectives. These factors are reviewed to tailor a fee arrangement which may include a reduced-rate hourly charge, a lump sum payment or a flat fee with a contingency percentage derived from a successfully concluded matter.

Our business law attorneys are engaged in matters across the nation. In addition to our U.S. clients, we represent foreign clients as well, and promptly meet our clients' needs whenever and wherever they arise.
