Kent C. Krause

Kent Krause received his undergraduate degree in 1979 and his Juris Doctor in 1982 from Southern Methodist University. He was admitted to the Texas bar in 1982.  Mr. Krause has practiced extensively in all phases of business litigation, representing corporations and individuals as both plaintiff and defendant. He has also litigated numerous business tort and contract claims, including tortious interference with business relations, business defamation and disparagement and other emerging areas of business litigation such as trade secret and non-competition disputes. Mr. Krause, while continuing his business litigation practice, has significantly expanded his role in aviation related and general personal injury, wrongful death and products liability litigation matters. He has been actively involved in a number of general aviation litigation matters and was lead counsel in handling cases arising from the crash of American Airlines Flight 1420 in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 1, 1999.

Mr. Krause is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell. He currently serves by appointment of the President of the State Bar of Texas to the Texas Court Rules Committee and was elected and continues to serve on the Council of the Aviation Section of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Krause is an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University Law School teaching Aviation Law and lectures on several litigation topics at various CLE seminars. Mr. Krause is routinely sought after to analyze and comment on aviation matters by members of news media organizations. He has made numerous appearances on both television and radio broadcasts and is frequently quoted in print media. Mr. Krause is the current Chairman of the Aviation Law section of the State Bar of Texas. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Bridewell Foundation and Washington Street Mission, charitable organizations working to help disadvantaged young people in the Greater Dallas area.
