Charles F. Krause
Charles F. Krause, co-founder of the firm, received his law degree from Rutgers University in 1960. Mr. Krause co-authored with Mr. Speiser the definitive three-volume Aviation Tort Law, the ten-volume The American Law of Torts and the three-volume Recovery for Wrongful Death. A former Marine Corps and commercial pilot with over 39 years of aviation litigation experience, he has served as lead counsel in many major disaster cases, including cases arising out of the Pan American/KLM collision at Tenerife, Canary Islands, in 1977 and one of the world's most severe oil drilling rig disasters, the sinking of the Ocean Ranger in 1982. Mr. Krause, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, is admitted to the New York, the District of Columbia and Texas Bars. He served for 17 years on the Board of Editors for the New York State Bar Journal and as an adjunct professor at St. Mary's University Law School.
